Unicut Spaces was pleased to fit out a new science lab room for Macquarie Fields High School in Southwest Sydney. The school was built in 1981, and so a new upgrade was needed to cater to the schools 1000 students from years 7 to 12.
School: Macquarie Fields High School
Duration: 3 Weeks
Date: 2024
Location: Macquarie Fields, NSW
The old science lab was outdated and in need of refurbishment. The Unicut Spaces team worked with the school to design modern new science labs. Modern equipment and flexible workstations make it easier for students to perform experiments and understand complex concepts. The space can be easily reconfigured to allow students to undertake various experiments and lessons.
The new refurbished science laboratory has provided a breath of fresh air into the science department. The new space has also increased safety for students and teachers, with older equipment replaced. The type of new safety equipment that we install in science labs includes first aid kits, eyewash stations, fume cupboards, fire extinguishers, and safety showers (where required).
The refurbishment took advantage of modern building materials such as benchtops and specialist flooring, to better cater to the wear and tear expected in a science lab.
